IEH Laboratories & Consulting Group proudly welcomes John Allan as Vice President of Technical Services.
John Allan brings over 26 years of experience in food safety and regulatory affairs. He holds a B.S. in Microbiology and an M.S. in Food Science and Technology from the University of Georgia, along with a degree in Medical Technology from Georgia State University. He is also a certified Lead Instructor for Preventive Controls for Human Foods through the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA).
Before joining IEH, Mr. Allan led dairy food safety efforts at the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) and held leadership roles at the American Frozen Food Institute, the National Yogurt Association, and ASI Food Safety Consultants. His notable contributions include his work with the Codex Alimentarius Commission Secretariat at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization and the PulseNet Foodborne Outbreak Electronic Surveillance Network at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Mr. Allan is well-regarded for his expertise in advising food companies on regulatory compliance and developing industry positions that influence policy at federal, state, and international levels. At IEH, he will leverage his deep expertise to enhance food safety practices, drive forward-thinking regulatory solutions, and advance industry standards.
